Terms and Conditions

DK Power Limited will only provide this service for serious customers. We reserve the right to cancel any arrangements if we feel the customer is not a serious buyer and will inform the relevant Embassy if an invitation letter has been provided. The shipping process can often take several weeks. All shipments will be insured by the shipping company.  The customer is responsible for all import duty into their country and getting their equipment through customs. All equipment is provided as ExWorks (Term of sale signifying that the price invoiced or quoted by a seller includes charges only up to the seller’s factory or premises. All charges from there on are to be borne by the buyer).

Diesel Generators In Africa

DK Power were called and asked to fly to  Burundi, Africa. This was to aid Energyst in getting its emergency diesel generator site operational(In total 10 x 1500KVA containerised diesel generators). DK Power Limited offered training to the local crew on generator maintenance and operation of the machines.

During the 5 weeks DK Power were responsible for writing up operational production logging and manuals for Energyst's site manager to effectively run the site correctly. Energyst International Projects are still running the emergency diesel generator site in Burundi, Africa.

DK Power Limited were proud to supply a  site manager to run an emergency diesel generator site in Ethiopia for Energyst with 20 site personnel, This consisted of operating diesel generators of 2 Mega Watts with a total capacity of 30 Mega Watts. Voltage onsite was stepped up from the generators at 415V – 11,000V via dry 8MVA transformers. This was then stepped up to 161,000V at the substation next to the power plant where it would be transported to parts of Ethiopia that needed the electricity the most.

The site had all the facilities needed to run a small power plant in Africa. A workshop that was fully capable to supply the engineers with all the equipment they needed to rectify problems and carry out maintenance. Storage facilities where the maintenance materials such as oil and filters could be kept along with spare parts for the diesel generators. An office where all production and planning of the site were carried out. A kitchen and toilet facilities for the crew to refresh and eat out of the hot temperatures. All of the power plant and facilities are designed to fit in fully shippable 20 and 40ft containers ready to move anywhere in the world.

Whilst on the power generation site DK Power were responsible for planning all servicing, maintenance, repairs and modifications of Energyst International Projects diesel generators. This Emergency diesel generator site supplied the local electrical company EEPCO 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

During the project, which was operational from Feb 2009 – December 2009 and then Mar 2010 – Jun 2010, the site produced in excess of 140,000 Mega Watt Hours.
